Quintin Veldt. Eighteen years between business and technology.
Freelance technical project manager and product owner in Amsterdam, working through my own company, FlowFive. I started on the commercial side of IT and moved, project by project, into product ownership and platform leadership.
How I got here
My first job was in ICT account management at Linkit Projectmanagement in Utrecht, placing ICT consultants with clients such as T-Mobile, Heineken and TNT. From there I moved into online media at Motomedia, building partnerships and branded campaigns with major car brands.
In 2014 I joined Marktplaats, then part of eBay Classifieds Group, as Manager API Partnerships for the automotive, jobs and housing verticals. I was the bridge between partners’ technical teams and our own developers, and managed more than €15M a month in API-driven transactions. In 2018 I moved to the partnerships team as Senior Project Manager, working on payments and shipping for Marktplaats.nl and 2dehands.be.
In 2022 I started FlowFive, designing and building websites and digital products for founders and small businesses and advising them on automation and AI tooling. In 2023 I was Product Director at Yournii, a marketing-automation SaaS. Since October 2024 I have led platform experience for Booking.com’s Partner Hub, freelance through FlowFive.
Working style
I do my best work where the commercial and the technical side have to be solved together: a business case that needs an integration, a contract that needs an API, a new feature that needs adoption. Colleagues tend to mention the same things: aligning stakeholders at critical moments, going through data and contracts in detail, and thinking in concepts and visuals.
